The atmosphere at the Curtain Fig is a burst of sunshine, full of smiles, suggestions, fun conversation, willingness to make sure your needs are met, and a good old fashioned welcome.

Jane Johnson is co-owner of the Curtain Fig and is a people person. She is never happier than when she is able to brighten someone's day with a friendly smile, a kind word and some great home cooking. Her goal is to make your stay a happy experience in the Curtain Fig Motel - your 'home away from home' and to help keep the Atherton Tablelands at the top of the 'must re-visit' list for guests. One of her ambitions is to find the perfect scone recipe - so be prepared to taste the produce and provide feedback!
Mark is co-owner of the Curtain Fig, and Jane's 'Better Half'. Mark is a mean hand with the barbeque, a bit of a wine connoisseur and adores meeting new people and making new friends. Mark was a founding member of the Slow Food Group in Darwin and believes in supporting local produce and local cuisine. He is king of the breakfast provision at the Curtain Fig - and when not at the Motel, he will probably be found on the golf course.
