Comfortable accommodation set in the beautiful Atherton Tablelands

The Atherton Tablelands is a vista of rolling green hills and thriving fertile dairy country. A range of activities await the interested traveller - food and wine trails, vigorous activities such as riding, kayaking, or cycling for the more active; fishing, boating and walking trails for those that prefer more relaxed pastimes. There are places of geological interest, bird and animal life to discover, heritage tours and so much more. On the Tablelands, life is measured by the experiences and only limited by imagination.

Lots of hidden treasures and places to find

The area is known for its fascinating little shops; the Red Sheds, The Gem Place to name a few. It's also known for oddities like the 'Blokes Bench', and thought stirrers like the Cenotaph and the Avenue of Honour. Antique and art galleries hide amongst more modern curiosity shops. And try not to miss the Yungaburra Markets on the fourth Sunday of the month which attracts people from far and wide!

Plenty to see and do

The region has a wealth of heritage listed attractions and is renowned for its monthly markets, the annual Folk Festival, Lake Tinaroo, and more recently the opening of the Avenue of Honour, a moving tribute to the fallen Australian soldiers of the Afghanistan campaign.

The area hosts the Yungaburra Triathlon in support of 'Soldier On' every November. Not to be missed, the Petersen Creek walk offers great platypus viewing opportunities.
